KTCCII Welcomes One Knowledge Academy to Indonesia

Jakarta, October 2026 — This month, PT KTCC Integrasi Indonesia welcomed Kelvin Ng and Jenny Chia, founders of Singapore-based One Knowledge Academy Pte Ltd (OKA). During their time in Jakarta, they met in person with KTCCII’s reinsurance broking partners. The question that kept coming up in every meeting was a simple one: how can good financial advice reach, and be accessible to, many more people?
Why Financial Advisory?
In Indonesia, most families have yet to receive real financial advice from someone truly qualified. Insurance and long-term planning are still often sold product-first, with needs considered later. Yet the conversation about needs should happen before anyone decides to buy anything.
OKA brings long experience in financial advisory. In our discussions, we explored how that expertise could be packaged and delivered through technology. The goal is not to replace advisers, but to equip them with better tools, while giving people a clearer starting point when choosing protection and savings.
Health and Finances Go Together
The visit also included a discussion with Ivy Chan on bringing healthcare and financial planning closer together. For most families, the two cannot be separated. A serious diagnosis hits the household budget right away, and the cost of treatment often pushes aside plans that took years to build.
When a person’s health, insurance coverage and financial goals can be seen in one complete picture, the decisions they make are better ones. This direction is in line with the preventive health programmes KTCCII has run throughout 2026 with Pathomics Health and 42 Detalytics.
One Platform to Bring It Together
One point everyone agreed on across the sessions: partnerships only start to matter when they reach many people. That requires a single platform where insurers, brokers, advisers and service providers can work within a well-organised ecosystem. This is where KTCCII comes in: aligning partners, shaping how they work together, and making sure every initiative follows Indonesian regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP No. 27/2022).
The Next Layer: A Digital Healthcare Platform with Simplessa
On the healthcare side, this vision is taking shape through Simplessa, a digital healthcare platform designed specifically for Indonesia’s health insurance market.
Simplessa is a health claims platform built for multiple insurers at once, connecting insurers, TPAs and healthcare providers in a single system. One of its core components is a Coordination of Benefits (COB) engine, which calculates how costs are shared when a patient is covered by more than one policy. This happens often in group health insurance, yet is still largely handled manually. Simplessa is also built to connect with SATUSEHAT, the Ministry of Health’s national health data exchange, using the HL7 FHIR R4 standard.
The need for this kind of system has grown since OJK issued POJK 36/2025 on health insurance. The regulation requires insurers to be more disciplined in cost control, medical review and data-driven claims management. In practice, insurers need infrastructure that makes these requirements workable in day-to-day operations.
Together with OKA’s financial advisory expertise and KTCCII’s network of preventive health partners, Simplessa serves as the digital backbone that connects it all: health data, claims, policy coverage, and the advice that helps families make better decisions.
Next Steps
KTCC Integrasi Indonesia will continue to explore collaboration with One Knowledge Academy and its reinsurance broking partners, with one shared goal: making financial advisory easier to access and available to more people. Combined with a digital healthcare platform that connects insurers, healthcare providers and patients, protection for Indonesian families can be designed with both their health and their financial future in mind.
